A bit of a change in the hops and malt dept, the imported malt, in my opinion gives it a really different character in flavor. Has all the same fruity and citrus hints and overall has a nice light clean finish. Suttree (2742), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Smells like a real classic English IPA. Poured amber with medium, rocky, white head that mostly diminished. Clear. Good lacing. Flavor is medium bitter. Tastes hoppy and piney. Nice hop flavor, but not overbearing; well-balanced. Medium body. Average carbonation. Easy drink. Overall a good IPA. Nuffield (2725), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 23, 2003 Calling it "heaven and hell" would be too strong on either side, but it is a pleasant enough aroma with a mildly miserable flavor. The aroma strikes me of white wine, slightly suggestive of its alcohol and something grape in it, with a woody, musty hop aroma. As it warms, it might remind one of a glass of luke-warm tea. Not bad aroma on the whole. But for flavors, gosh, too bitter, making me cringe with a metallic edge like I was sucking on a piece of pewter. Otherwise a decent palate for its smoothness. Still, not my taste in beer. IrishBoy (2719), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Bottle from Erader Joes; Nose is hoppy and citrusy; dark gold with a big long-lasting pale golden head; flavor has some citrus, malt, and hops which fades into a big hop finish, but not overly bitter. notalush (2687), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2003 Not a bad IPA by any means. Decently hopped, but the body is a bit thin. Something about this tastes very "mass-market" for some reason. Still pretty good, though. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2006 35,5 cl bottle. Pale amber colour with a weak head. A lot of hops in the aroma of grapefruit. Very tasty flavour of hops, ends up bitter and dry without to be dominated at all. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 24, 2005 The aroma of this beer is typical for flying dog ales. It seems to have turpentine hops along with caramel malts. Nice golden color that has a slight red hue. Good head and lots of lacing in my glass. When you first taste it you get an overly generous dose of the turpentine hops. Thankfully the ale is complex and the second wave is spicy with cloves and some maltiness. Aftertaste is bitter. I liken this one to the animal on the bottle, sort of an odd combination. Worthwhile if your an exotic hop lover.
