Golden-orange body with a soapy beige head. Bitter soapy taste, lots of hops in the form of grapefruit and lychee flavors. Touch of yeast and resin. Grassiness assertive toward the end, and faint notes of sourness arise to complement the much stronger bitterness and sweetness. Medium-light body, dry hoppy aftertaste. Well-carbonated and a considerable amount of floating particulates. Peppery hop aroma plus some malt and fruits. Flavor is initially rather floral but not very hoppy relative to many IPAs, but then it sort of sticks to your tongue and just sits there. An average IPA. johndoughty (2170), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

This one like a few others I have tried lately was dominated by a floral flavour rather than hops. Although it was pleasantly drinkable I couldn’t help thinking that the people in the days of the British Empire who originally drank IPA just wouldn’t recognise this.Having said that it was still a reasonably pleasant drink. Sweet and detergenty at first sip. Decent hop end. Not too bad. Very drinkable. zach8270 (2140), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is very floral with some sweetness and a nice hop smell as well. Good floral and peppery taste with a nice sweetness to it as well. You can really taste the hops even through all the sweetness of the malt. Bitter aftertaste. Very nice IPA. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2003 Deep golden color out of the bottle with a fizzy white head and an apple sweet nose with only hints of hops. Lots of hops in the flavor though. Very green tasting beer with a heavy syrup foundation. Almost too raw for me. Nothing to write home about. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark
