Rather slight head and carbonation. Some typical Pale malt sweetness, but a small amount of resiny hop flavors follows right along. Refreshing piney finish, almost juicy. Really not too bad. bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Bottle, pours clear dark gold wiith a substantial and lacy off-white head. Medium-light body and carbonation tending to light. This IPA almost qualifies as a fruit beer. Big sweet aroma and taste of grapefruit and pineapple and mango. Almost no trace of pine to be found, except for the bit that shows up as the finish dries out. Low on the IBUs for an IPA, but makes up for it by a huge hop presence in the taste and nose. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2006 Updated: Aug 26, 2007I have not found myself to be particularly fond of this brewer’s beers. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bright bronze color with a medium sized light tan head. The aroma is light tangy malts and a bit of floral hops. The flavor is piney and has a strong floral hop presence with a light fruity undertone. The beer feels a bit thin and there are few noticeable malts to support the hops which prove to be unable to carry this beer on their own. cheapdark (2026), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Dec 17, 2006 Updated: Dec 31, 2007Thank you for including this into my sampler pack. As an IPA, I am not expecting much, it’s not my favorite style. Only reason why I’m sampling it is because it’s there. Bright orange yellow into the steeler stein. Lots of bubbles and an aroma of what else, hops??? Has yer same old IPA bitter offensiveness and it lingers after the finish like medicine. What else can be said about an IPA? Can I begin to appreciate this style? I guess so, since now I think of the flavor as grapefruit and peel instead of bitter astringent. Well, this bitter grapefruit peel flavor is lingering. IPA is rated low on my flavor scale for styles. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

Nose of floral sweet hops and mild malts. Sharp bitter mouth feel. Finished fruity and piquant. Not a lot of malt balance, but a very nice sessionable IPA> dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
