| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Nice blending of traditional English- and American- IPA flavors...floral English hopping and citrusy/fruity PNW hopping. Touhes of metallic notes waft in and out, but not very distracting. Good solid malt caramel and toffee sweetness anchors this brew well, with bitter highlights being contributed by the fairly substantial hop schedule. decent enough. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Bottled. Nice hoppy smell upon opening. Pours a light brown with a big head at first, bubbles of different sizes climbing up the glass. Taste is hoppy up front, but not heavy. Mostly reminiscent of pineapple, with an orange backbone. Smell while drinking becomes more piney, as befits dry-hopping. Biys of vanilla come around, too. Beer2000 (1857), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 12, 2009 355 ml bottle. Clear, golden orange body with a dense off-white head. Sweet and heavy hoppy/citrus + hay aroma. Flavor has a sharp, prompt bitterness, giving a dry feeling even realizing this is a quite sweet beer. Balanced but not much malt flavor here. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 24, 2004 Amber. Nose is entirely too subtle with just a touch of fruit and an infinitesimal and insufficient amount of floral and spicy hops. This is just entirely too feeble in both aroma and flavor and its feel on the palate is far from remarkable. I’m forced to wonder if their Doggie Style Pale is hoppier. It sure seems like it to me. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2007 An average IPA. Weak aroma of piney hops. Nice dark amber color but no head. Taste was too sweet for an IPA. Lots of malt that actually overpowered the hops. Thick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. thegreenrooster (1852), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2004 Pours a amber color with a large white fluffy head. Flavor is of course hops but not as hoppy as most IPA’s. The hops are more present on the aftertaste as it goes down. Middle of the road but would be interesting for those looking to try this style for the first time. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
