The aroma is of caramel malt, grape and is floral, the taste is caramel malt, grape, pine and a bit sweet, well balabced. Medium body with a sweet dry hoppy finish. Quit alot of hop aroma and taste for a ipa with only 36 ibu. I like it! bierkoning (6048), La Tropica, Netherlands

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep golden colour with a good white head. Sweet fruity and hoppy aroma. The flavour is fresh and fruity with a very good maltiness and hoppiness and a slight spiced touch. The finish has a good dry hoppy frutiness with some pine. Very tasty brew indeed. 355ml bottle from Quaff. Dry hoppage shows up pretty well and makes it pretty good in the nose with the underlying Marris Otter pretty clear too. Nice mid amber colour. What balences well in the aroma just doesnt seem to gel right in the mouth. Very bitter and citric with something oddly sweet about it too. Interesting but not overly impressive. hopdog (5576), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Poured a hazy amber with an averaged sized off white head. Skunky citris aroma and taste. Watery body. Light bitterness. Not a good example of an IPA - I will pass on this in the future. Magicdave6 (5501), London, Greater London, England
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 20, 2007 The bottle had a sticker on it saying 6.4%, however if peled off it said 4.7%, i recon this was 6.4% though. Bottle from Beers of europe at ronnie’s. Aroam floats throught the room upon openeing i could smell it a mile away, great toffee malt base, loads of citrus and orange hop. Taste is similar loads of bitter orange character, full on thick body for the %. Very drinkable also. The smack head americans must be on glue to say that this is thin and not true to the american ipa style. hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Very nice, subtle aroma with an excellent blend of fragrances. Lightly malty with notes of butter, sugar cookies, cereal grains, milk chocolate and English toffee. Moderately hoppy as well with aromas of grapefruit, flowers and hints of spruce, cinnamon, black pepper and just a hint of cheap perfume.
The flavor is lightly malty and moderately hoppy up front with blasts of English toffee, bitter herbs and grape fruit. Moderately bitter and tangy on the backside.
Just barely medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Finishes bone-dry, acidic and moderately bitter. A very nice ending to a very good glass of beer. Good beer; mediocre brewery. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
