Bottle best before Nov ’07. Pours a light orange with a decent white head. The nose is citrusy and bready. I pick up a bit of pineapple, caramel, lemon-cough drops, some floral notes. It’s not all that bitter, considering the style. It’s just a little tart. Dense flavors of lemon and menthol are noted throughout along with a distinct flavor of dough and wood. This is a British leaning IPA and fairly mild all around, though it has adequate complexity and assertiveness to make it interesting. It’s pretty clean too. Not bad. [bottle again on Oct 8, ’07] Nicely bitter and clean with a significant amount of juicy, fruity flavors. I enjoyed this more the 2nd time around.

Bottle courtesy of RiversideAK. Pours a light amber with floral and citrus aromas. The taste is really clean and nice; hops, some citrus, a grassy quality, and some malt flavors. A good IPA, great flavor and easy to drink. I could have 20.

Bottle. Poured a nice copper body with thin head. Pleasant aroma of citrus and malt. Flavor is a little astringent with some citrus and a malty backbone. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one.

Orange coloured, lasting foamy head. Predominantly hops in aroma, some fruity notes. Hoppy flavour, quite bitter. Watery and not very complex. Lasting bitter finish. Not bad, but not very impressive either.

2007 bottle judging by the label. Held up well if so. Pours a dark golden color with 2 finger head and great lacing. Nose is floral, fruity hops and malt. Palate is citrus, pine and sweet malt with a resin finish. Medium mouth feel. Not a bad brew, especially if this is a year old.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a freshness date on lower right side of the label. day 242 (Aug 30)/06. Made a good appearance, poured a clear reddish/amber golden with a fluffy white head that settled into a thin frothy lacing, good carbonation. Had a hoppy nose, dry pine and citric, earthy and a bit spicy with a biscuity maltiness framing the edges. A crisp, softly hop textured and smooth lightish medium bodied mouthfeel, above average drinkability. Nice hoppy taste, citric and pine resiny, a bit floral leafy, a sweet biscuity maltiness, a touch of fruitiness shows up in the middle and a dryish hoppy and grainy finish. A decent AIPA from Flying Dog, tasty and quaffable at an affordable price.

Pours amber with a mostly receding foamy white head. Aroma of fruity toffee, sweet caramel, and notes of apricot. Taste is sweet sticky malt, toffee, and alefruits. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a resinous feel and lively carbonation.
