| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 25, 2003 Very disappointing beer, copper in color, decent soft lacy white head, very little hops in the nose, I always appreciate getting smacked in the face by a huge & intense wall of hops, this didn't have that, seemed like more of the malt came out in the aroma, not all that well balanced either, seems like it leans a little heavy on the malt side, the hops are certainly there but not pronouncely so until you burp them up in the aftertaste, not enough hoppiness at all for my liking, still a drinkable IPA but not one that I would purchase again though

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 2, 2004 Bottle Poures a slightly hazy amber with a very large fluffy off-white head. Aroma is a strong hops smell witha little sweet honey. Lightly roasted grain. Flavor is of wood, grass and hops but not so sharp. The malt balances it out I think pretty well. I imagine IPA purists would think it weak but I rather like it. Feel is very smooth, leaving me with a slight bitter remonder at the end. MrBunn (1540), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Crystal clear golden-orange color with minimal bubbly head and lacing. Aroma is musty and grassy with hops trying to it up. Flavor is extremely sweet for the style... caramel and grass dominate with a hoppy bitterness at the begining and end. As it warms the hops flavoring starts to come out much more fully. esjaygee (1531), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma of citrus, grassy hops, caramel and sweet malts. Taste is of citrus hops with overpowering bitter finish. In between it’s a little fruit with a malty backbone. jasonp (1510), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 10, 2004 Didn't like this one much at all. Has a grapefruit aroma. Pours amber with a minimal head. Pretty boring; especially for an IPA. Not enough spicyness, hops or great flavor. Just kind of blah. This is just an average bitter ale. Mouthfeel however is pretty good. Aftertaste is just bitter and that's it, there's nothing else after that. mjs (1506), Helsinki, Finland

Grassy nose. Full bodied palate with lot of cabonation. Grass, malts, hint of dried plum and bit of salty liquorice in taste. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2004 Bottle. Nice yellowish orange with a lacey white head. Hop aroma, very floral. Hoppy and malty flavor. Hops linger. Not a big IPA, but rather drinkable as a session beer.
