Aroma is hops, citrus, and a little earthy. Taste is light and malty with a with a bitter twang of hops in the finish. A very subtle IPA and nice if you don’t want your head blown off by the hops. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2002 A sort of odd orange color that is, I guess, pale. Aroma is very pleasant, citrus and perfume dominate with a touch of sweetness. The flavor, however, is much too malty for me. The hops provide a nice bitterness, but there are distinct sweet cereals and biscuits as it moves through to the finish. Not my favorite IPA. GreatLibations (1447), Last Supper, Arizona, USA

Medium nectar w/ very smooth residual effers. Flavors are dull and bittering with grapefruit, aged citrus rind, hay, and a slight souring on the finish. Overall: a descent brew. I’ll have to try the new one. Not all that different from their classic pale ale, just a little bit more bitter, but lacks the balance and complexity of an awesome IPA. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
