Sweet malty body and hop balance with a touch of earthiness. Sticky dry woody finish. This is the best Flying Dog beer I've had. Bov (5512), Bienne, Switzerland

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Clear orange-amber beer; huge, very dense & fine head, slightly amberish coloured. Superb hoppy nose, C-hops, orange marmalade, pickles. Hops, oranges, sweet-hoppy, enfin, all the classics. But. My first and main remark is: this is a good beer. With bottle refermentation, it might be GREAT. THEN WHY ISN’T IT? Medium bodied, slickness, hop oils on the aftertaste. See the above remark: stop pasteurizing! ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

Hoppy, piney aroma with peach fruity notes and hints of flower and sweet malts. Hoppy and quite bitter flavor with notes of pine and flowers and hints of some sweetness. Dry, pine bitter finish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2009 Updated: Nov 22, 2009(35.5cl bottle) Almost clear, amber colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet malty and sourish fruity nose with a touch of dust and lemon-fruity hops. Moderately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a crispy mf. Soft malty base with light notes of licorice and a good dash of (grape-)fruity hops. Dry and moderately bitter and fruity finish. Surely a drinkable brew, but also almost a bit disappointing by FD standards (19.II.08). madsberg (5065), Søborg, Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 14, 2005 Bottled: Light amber coloured. Has an off white dense head. Has some malt and sweetness in the nose. Falvour of hops and sweetness. Light fruity. Is ligth bitter in the end. Is medium bodied and quite easy to drink. There are much better beers of the style out there. Cletus (5059), Connecticut, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 8, 2005 Pours amber with a small head. Smells of grass and grapefruit. Tastes peppery with a slightly bitter albeit watery finish. More like a golden ale than an IPA. Not sure what qualifies this one as an IPA.
