I dont know what hops they use but this smells almost of rain, very crisp and clean. A good hop and pine taste. Finish is bitter but not dry so this is a refreshing IPA. Flavor was dominated by more citrusy flavors with floral undertones. Some sweet maltiness to balance. Not bad for what it is. Oh, and I should comment...good grief those labels are ugly. I could barely even stomach looking at the Snake Dog! mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2003 The trusty old straight pour produced a copper colored body with a giant pillow of cream-colored thick rocky head. Big hops presents a nose of woodsy pine and spruce as well as citrus peel, a malty backbone brings in some caramel. All good except for the astringency and slight metallic hints, leaving behind a curtain of lacing and a dry bitter finish. All said and done its not all that bad a brew. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

Pleasant aroma with some floral fragrance from the dry hopping. No offensive flavors, little thin feeling, some spicy hops come through. Mildly bitter finish. Certainly not exceptional, but drinkable Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 7, 2008 Pours a clear, pale, orange with a loose, frothy, off-white head. The nose is a fruity blend of pale malt and floral, citric and resinous hops. Fairly light-bodied and soft with a big, bitter-hopped finish. The flavor follows the nose, with a pale malt front followed quickly by a big hit of resinous hop bitterness. Fairly rough at the finish, this isn’t nearly as balanced as I would prefer. Some IPAs slap me in the face, with their hops, and make me smile. Some just slap me in the face. This beer is one of the latter. piscator34 (1129), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 16, 2004 Pale amber in colour and very carbonated. Nice citrusy hop aroma... tangerine is the specific smell here. Flavors begin citrusy, but quickly shift into sour apple with a bitter finish. Far too light on the palete. File this one in the "smells great but tastes not-so-good category".
