| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2003 A pretty good IPA, with a tan clumpy head overtop a deep amber body. Aroma was piney, and flavor full of hop and citrus. Finish was bitter and lasting. Overall it was fairly one-dimensional, but tasty. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 21, 2003 12 oz. brown bottle. No freshness date noticed. Poured out a darker shade of yellow, almost a orangeish color. Aromas mostly of Cascade hops, slight celery aroma as well. Not much in the malts department, aroma or taste wise. Tastes mostly of Cascade hops, some diacetyl also. Bitter finish to it. Tastes like Ruby red grapefruit. Sour tasting, and has a sour finish to it as well. Not a well balanced IPA in my book. Average at best. chicagodri (1060), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2007 Very thin head, and a very mild aroma and hop flavor. I remembered having this beer in the past and I guess I have had better stuff since, because I thought it was very average. It has almost a sweet kick at the end. papajohn (1055), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2004 Golden amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet with a hint of pineapple and hops. Flavor starts lightly sweet followed by some grapefruit and pine and finishing dry and orange peel bitter. Palate a bit thin, but I wouldn't kick it out of bed. bigrond (1054), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | May 22, 2005 this beer shocked me. It was not a good IPA at ALL. It was very bland almost no hop flavor at all. Flying dog comes up way short Stew41 (1053), Caulfield, Australia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Bang on target in the looks and smells department; rusty orange, dead clear, thin creamy head, and a big whafting layer of hoppy fruit aromas. Flavours are a bit one dimensional with very linear hoppy bitterness, perhaps a bit sharp and rough, but holds my interest nevertheless. A nice sliver of fruity hops drives a decent finish. $8 per bottle in Australia - I wonder what the street price is in the US?
