Feb 22, 2005 12 oz bottle. Dark, very clear amber with a slight head and nice bit of lacing...fruity/spicy nose more complex than it initially seems, with bing cherries, grapefruit and a background of new car leather making appearances...on the tongue, a bit of sweetness at the front and massive, harsh bitterness quickly taking over, with dry citric acid powder coating the mouth long after the swallow...full and spicy/peppery throughout. I’m surprised at how much I liked this, given the overall average-to-mediocre nature of the brewery.

May 30, 2008 Bottle. I am a little confused. Is this the new or old version. it is 4.7 ABV and 36 IBU so none of the desciption on ratebeer matches. BB 03.08.
Creamy white excellent mostly lasting head. Orange-yellow colour. Light malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Flowers and herbs present. Harsh bitter flavor. Long harsh bitter finish. Creamy palate. Not my style but nice.

Oct 21, 2006 Strong piney hop aroma. Maybe grapefurit. Pale amber orange color. De minimis head. Starts with hop, and then a really floral aroma arises, and the hop turns strong! Pickles the tongue. Don’t know why it’s not a top 10, but I’ve only had one of those, so that’s maybe why I don’t know. It is really good stuff.

Jul 17, 2005 Light amber color with traces of a white head on top. The aroma is decent with ornages and some flowers. There are also some light caramel and buttery notes. The taste is light citrus with some toasted caramel and iced tea. A decent IPA, but rather boring.

Jul 3, 2007 Strong floral and citrus hops greet the nose along with apricot-like fruity esters and sweet doughy malts. Brilliantly clear copper coloured body is topped by a dense, fine bubbled and lasting white head that leaves some sticky lace on the sides of the glass. Peach, apricot and grape fruity esters are strong and blend nicely with tangerine, grapefruit and orange citrus and lavender floral hops in the flavour. Cookie dough and lightly bready, toasty malts offer a platform for the hops with moderate bitterness adding the exclamation point. Medium body is quite smooth and almost doughy in texture but strong carbonation adds a contrast. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (Brewery Creek, Jun-07). Thanks, Josh!

Sep 18, 2003 Amber hue with big frothy head and very good lacing. Aroma hints of peat and smoke with orange zest, floral hops, spice, grilled onions, barnyard yeast, and hay fields. Taste was peppery and citrus with minor malt presence. Smooth and dry finish. Fizzy mouthfeel. Different and overall good beer, not you standard IPA however.

Jun 28, 2004 Bottle at Spiesy’s gaff. Interesting chocolate and vomit aroma. Soft palate. Stale hop after-taste - like chewing dried hop pellets. Unpleasant.
