Very little aroma but mostly of hops. Very hoppy flavor which I very much like. I think I like this better than the other IPA’s I have tried. Good Stuff!! I enjoyed this beer very much and its now available in my region so thats a plus but its not a top tier IPA. sayravai (3733), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2006 Updated: Jun 4, 2007(Bottled, 4.7% ABV) Clear, deep copper color with a smallish, firm head. Sweetish and citrusy, pine-resiny, grapefruity aroma with some berries. Bitter and aromatic, very fruity flavor with berry-toffeeish sweetness, and a long, bitter and dryish finish. Medium-bodied, slicky palate with a bit foamy carbonation. Very nice and balanced body for a 4.7%. Feels like they’ve only changed the ABV in the label to be able to sell this in Finland :) A great session beer, if the ABV really is correct!
(Bottled, 5.8% ABV, was 8-3-7-4-15=3.8) Clear amber color with a small, quite tight head. Strongly aromatic-hoppy, sweetish berry (gooseberry, black currant leaves) aroma with pine hints. Pine-hoppy, berry-malty, slightly toffee-sweet flavor with a bitter, but fading finish. Medium-bodied, slicky palate with balanced carbonation. Good stuff with character. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 3, 2005 Bottle. Dark Orange pour, frothy white head. Medium to strong hop aroma, mostly citrus. Taste was quite citrusy (hoppy) as well, with a nice balance of malt sweetness. Surprisingly solid and well balanced and a pleasure to drink. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2004 This isn't one of my top tier IPAs, but I enjoy it nonetheless. It isn't as hoppy as I prefer, but it is very smooth and crisp. The Flying Dog beers seem to use super pure water, because they all finish exceptionally well. kevd193213 (498), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Pours a typical IPA amber with a thin slight off-white head. Strong floral bubble gum aroma. Lots of grapefruit citrus hop bitterness, not perfectly balanced but not bad. The best beer from flying dog so far.
