Starts with hop, and then a really floral aroma arises, and the hop turns strong! Pickles the tongue. Don’t know why it’s not a top 10, but I’ve only had one of those, so that’s maybe why I don’t know. It is really good stuff. LaChad (1375), San Francisco, California, USA

The taste wasn’t quite what I expected from the nose, but the bitterness was still nice and complimented the citrus flavor pretty well. Some maltiness toward the end. The best from Flying Dog that I’ve had so far! austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

I think this is a great introductory IPA that’s no hop monster. Perhaps the best beer from Flying Dog. Slightly sour and tastes a bit like a Christmas tree. dankfor20 (193), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

I dont know what hops they use but this smells almost of rain, very crisp and clean. A good hop and pine taste. Finish is bitter but not dry so this is a refreshing IPA. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 25, 2007 Deep gold/light amber beer with a bubbly off-white head. Chinook is strong in the aroma with delicious pine and tobacco, and also some roses noted. Hops are in charge of the flavour too - there is just enough malt to balance the bitterness, it never gets sweet in any way. Bitterness and hop flavour is noticed from the first impression to the lasting aftertaste. That’s my kind of IPA.
