Aug 15, 2002 Nice intro to American IPA’s for the neophyte, This is the starting place for American IPA’S, it ends when you find Stone’s IPA, or Stone Ruination IPA, they top my list. This is another fine brew to wean a Bud enthusiast of that swill. Nice IPA I think its time to try their sampler pack.

Jan 16, 2004 This is fairly good for an IPA. Hoppy, Flavorful, Good color, good body. No hideous aftertaste. Nicely done.

Apr 24, 2006 I’m surprised the ratings aren’t better. Looks great, rich golden color, creamy head from the cask, and wonderful lacing up and down the glass. Wonderful bitterness, beyond traditional Britsh IPA, with strong citrus, pine hoppy bitterness and a long bitter finish. Great creamy mouth feel, typical of a good draft ale. Truly enjoyable balance of sweet malt and bitterness.

Apr 1, 2003 A really deep, rich IPA from the folks at Flying Dog Ales. Different from most American IPAs, but when I drink it, I get the feeling that this is the way a true IPA should taste. Highly recommended.

Apr 11, 2006 Bottle - oh, man ... this could be good. It has the orangey/gold/copper color of many of the IPA’s that I love. This is accompanied by lovely grassy/citrusy hops. The flavor is very nice! Huge grass hops along with a fairly solid malt background. I could drink a bunch of this one!

Aug 12, 2005 Bouteille de 12 oz qui provient du "mix pack" d’été de Flying Dog acheté au Beverage Warehouse à Winooski, VT. Arôme: Odeur de pamplemousses, de malt et d’épices. Apparence: Couleur blonde orangée. Mince col crémeux. Forte densité des bulles. Fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’agrumes et de caramel brulé. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture minérale. Arrière goût d’agrumes. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. (Rating #258)

Feb 2, 2004 Updated: Aug 2, 2005Bottle @ Brewery. This is average at best. Mild hop aroma and small thin head. Light malty flavor and tinny boring finish. Keep moving, nothing to see here.
Rerated Aug ’05. Taste and aroma are fresh hops, citrus and pine. A hell of a lot better then I recall it being. Finally an IPA I can find in VT thats very good.

Mar 9, 2005 This is a flavorful, full-bodied, copper colored beer with just the right amount of hops. Excellent appearance, aroma, and taste. Good lacing and head. Combined with the unique name and label design, this is an excellent beer, highly recommended for any IPA fan.
