12 oz bottle. Dark, very clear amber with a slight head and nice bit of lacing...fruity/spicy nose more complex than it initially seems, with bing cherries, grapefruit and a background of new car leather making appearances...on the tongue, a bit of sweetness at the front and massive, harsh bitterness quickly taking over, with dry citric acid powder coating the mouth long after the swallow...full and spicy/peppery throughout. I’m surprised at how much I liked this, given the overall average-to-mediocre nature of the brewery.

Above average IPA. Hops go more toward piney end of the spectrum. Clean malt flavor, just slight bit of residual sweetness. Hops dry the finish. Pretty decent.

Well, I love the label. The balance is off , I would have liked a better malt character - the hops were nice.

Rich amber appearance. Resinous, citrusy aroma. Fairly well balanced with a nod to the drier, hoppier side. Light-to-medium body. Clean, slightly fruity finish.

mmm a good tasting nice IPA. i would have to say that it is better than the 3.15 it gets, but thats just me. rating from a bottle, had it in a glass the other night but didnt feel like rating. i think this is good, and ive yet to really be disappointed by a flying dog ale.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a thick white head that lingered well and left some lacing. Caramel malts dominate the aroma, with some floral hoppiness apparent as well. Flavor is also malty up front with a good dose of bitterness provided by the big hop content and an astringent finish. Light to medium body and assertive carbonation. A servicable IPA.

Orange/Amber color. Little white head. Not much aroma, mostly florall and citrus notes. Lackluster flavor, not bad, just nothing to write home about. I’d drink this again for sure, but it’s not a favorite. Overall: Decent IPA.
