This is a strong flavored beer. Bottom line...I liked it, but it was a little to strong and hoppy for my palate. rmalloy (195), los angeles, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 12, 2002 Quite pleasant and widely available. Pretty typical fruity, hoppy aromas. A bit watery and not enough hop bite to make this special. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA

Pretty decent flavors, bitter hoppy finish. Not a bad brew. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Fruity aroma is inviting. The appearance is amber with a thick and slowly diminishing head. The nose is watery and slightly sweet with hops flavor on the finish. Excellent balance!! It is a light for an IPA, but I enjoy the fruity nature and light nose; it makes for an easily drinkable beer that is very satisfying from both a texture standpoint and a taste standpoint. goldtwins (4085), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 20, 2006 Draft @ Flying Dog: Hazy orange-amber color with an off-white head. Big hoppy aroma with citrus and piney notes. Some sweet malt shows through underneath. Citrusy and piney flavor with enough malt to back it up. Not too bad. Tasted pretty fresh on the hop side. johndoughty (2170), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2007 The bottle said 4.7 per cent not 5.75. i always thought that IPA’s had a very high rate of hoppiness. This one like a few others I have tried lately was dominated by a floral flavour rather than hops. Although it was pleasantly drinkable I couldn’t help thinking that the people in the days of the British Empire who originally drank IPA just wouldn’t recognise this.Having said that it was still a reasonably pleasant drink. Pretty good IPA. I didn’t realize those were Golding hops I was tasting. Light maltiness and decent hoppiness makes this beer easy to finish.
