| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2007 Bottle. Clear copper with a small head. Nice hoppy aroma with grapefruit and apples in the lead. Also a hint of raisins. sweet maltiness initially to be countered by steadily more pronounced bitterness. Citrus flavours are predominant. Medium body, rather flat. Highly enjoyable IPA that is just a bit too weak to receive standing ovations. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 20, 2006 Draught at Old Chicago in Coralville, IA. Clear light orange color with two fingers of foamy of white head that laced the glass. Sprucy, flowery hop aroma and flavor. There is also a hint of grape candy and malty toffee. Hop bitterness is lacking a bit. Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Draft at Dewey’s Pizza in Kenwood. Clear dark amber color, sweet aroma, medium body, moderate lasting head, suitably intense hop taste with grapefruit element, LONG tangy finish--a beer that wants to be remembered. Not a lot of subtlety or nuance, and not what I consider a sessionable brew, but it definitely has a place in the IPA universe. NachlamSie (1642), Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Updated: Oct 8, 2007Bottle best before Nov ’07. Pours a light orange with a decent white head. The nose is citrusy and bready. I pick up a bit of pineapple, caramel, lemon-cough drops, some floral notes. It’s not all that bitter, considering the style. It’s just a little tart. Dense flavors of lemon and menthol are noted throughout along with a distinct flavor of dough and wood. This is a British leaning IPA and fairly mild all around, though it has adequate complexity and assertiveness to make it interesting. It’s pretty clean too. Not bad.
[bottle again on Oct 8, ’07] Nicely bitter and clean with a significant amount of juicy, fruity flavors. I enjoyed this more the 2nd time around. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2007 From a 12-oz. bottle purchased at Johns Marketplace in PDX--Poured a clear copper-amber body with a thick off-white head that left a beautiful lacing in the glass. Nose of floral sweet hops and mild malts. Sharp bitter mouth feel. Finished fruity and piquant. Not a lot of malt balance, but a very nice sessionable IPA> TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2005 Nice IPA, with strong fruity flavors (apple kept sticking out most prominently in my mind) with some good floral hops. The color is great as well, a crisp orange look. Not the best of the style, or anything overly original, but by no means bad.
