| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 20, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear, golden amber with an off-white head. Nice lacing. Crisp and sweetish hoppy aroma. Flavour is sweetish and hoppy on a solid malty background. Bitter, hoppy finish. A bit dry. Lingering notes of apple as it warms. Lots of body. Not very complex, but a good beer nevertheless. 20-09-07. goozen (1088), Leiden, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 14, 2006 Copper. Dense, off white head of small bubbles topped by a layer of larger ones. Aroma of big piney, grapefruity, resinous hops and some sweetness. Flavor is all hops with just enough malt for support. Medium/full body. Well done, typical American IPA. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2005 This beer pours with a clear copper glow, a thin, white, glass-lacing head, and an interesting malty-pine bouquet. A sweet, round start is immediately followed with a crisp effervenscence, finishing with a mild hop kick.
I prefer my IPA’s to kick me in the teeth with hoppiness, and this one didn’t do that...but it’s good. The word "compact" comes to mind, as in: "This is a compact beer." ...by which I mean the entire experience is protracted into a satisfying little jolt...not particularly memorable, yet leaves me saying , "Mmmm, that was tasty."...like a "nooner". | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2005 Underrated beer. Pours light amber with a medium white head. Nice hoppy smell and floral aroma as well. Taste is nothing extraordinary but nice and hoppy. Aftertaste is kind of crappy but not that bad. hughie (3060), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2007 Amber with a small off-white head. Hop aroma with pine and a developing background of sweet caramel. The caramel also present in the taste, with some orangey fruit, but the whole rather swamped, in my opinion, by the sharp hoppiness. milewide (611), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
