Flavor is of course hops but not as hoppy as most IPA’s. The hops are more present on the aftertaste as it goes down. Middle of the road but would be interesting for those looking to try this style for the first time. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 26, 2008 I’ve been drinking the "extreme" / "double-hopped" IPAs and pale ales lately.
But it was nice to enjoy a well-crafted, traditional IPA. This beer poured as orange a copper-orange as I’ve ever seen in a beer. Thin, creamy, white head. Aroma of citrus (grapefruit) and dried apricots--maybe a little caramel. Sits light and slightly oily on the tongue. Citrus, caramel, and of course the bitter hops come through. Finishes clean with only a slight, lingering hop bitterness. GonZoBeeR (2161), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2004 Quite good! Initial assessment of this beer was not great, however I noticed a few nuances that became quite appealing. Very citrus-y flavor, definately some grapefruit mixed in there. I do like grapefruit. Pours hazy gold, very bitter. Good stuff. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2005 Well, this has to be the best from the flying dog. There is the citris hop nose with the gold body and white head. The hop presence is nice, since there is no casscade. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Bottle. A clear amber beer with a big off-white head. The aroma is of caramel malt, grape and is floral, the taste is caramel malt, grape, pine and a bit sweet, well balabced. Medium body with a sweet dry hoppy finish. Quit alot of hop aroma and taste for a ipa with only 36 ibu. I like it! dpbhoosier (51), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2007 Bottled. Piney and citrus hop aroma as I would expect from an IPA. Light body, easy drinking, refreshing hop bitterness. One of the best readily available IPAs that I come back to from time to time.
