Nice fruity hop taste but not nearly bitter enough for the style. I like the grapefruity hop taste and it balances well with the malt but it needs more bitter! Otherwise I find this to be a much better beer than it is rated here (58 percentile as of the time of my review).

Bottle. Clear amber/light orange with a thin foamy head. Grapefruit hop aroma. Flavor of resiny and citrus hops and tea, slightly astringent, with some light malt. Palate thin to medium. A good example of an IPA which showcases a mellow hop profile on a mellow malt palate to get the desired balance.

Pretty good IPA. Nice hoppy aroma/flavor. Have had more complex IPA’s, but was definitely pretty good. Very drinkable beer.

this is a very good ipa, but somewhat forgettable. nothing special, just a standard example of the style. good aroma and flavor, good mouthfeel, drinkable.

Amber with thin lacy white slowly diminishing head. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops, caramel and sweet malts. Taste is of citrus hops with overpowering bitter finish. In between it’s a little fruit with a malty backbone.

I scored one of these In Augusta last year when I went to the Masters. I just found my notes and the label in my Masters program. Amber pour. White head. Aroma is full of hops, mostly floral and some citrus. Flavor is hoppy, citrus, some malt and a taste of honey. Has a fairly bitter finish. not bad at all.

One of the better Flying Dog brews. This one knocked me on my but after about 4. Big bold flavor, lots of hoppiness to it, and a little bit fruity towards to end. The after taste is a little more alcohol driven than some IPA’s, but overall, a good beer.
