Very clear, pretty light orange / copper. 1 cm. white creamy head. Slowly falls to a nice thick layer of foam. Significant lacing. Aroma - pretty solid fruity, citrusy, florally hop aroma. Little bit of sweet malts. Nice, high level of bitterness balanced nicely by a fairly solid malt backbone. Pretty serious hop flavor after the swallow. Same fruity, citrusy, florally flavor as in the aroma. Little bit of malt sweetness. Palate - nice medium mouthfeel. Avg. amt. of carb. Good for this beer. Overall - Pretty nice IPA - no surprise, I pretty much like everything from FD. Huge hop flavor and aroma. High bitterness, but not too much. Very easily drinkable, tasty IPA. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Bottle, pours clear dark gold wiith a substantial and lacy off-white head. Medium-light body and carbonation tending to light. This IPA almost qualifies as a fruit beer. Big sweet aroma and taste of grapefruit and pineapple and mango. Almost no trace of pine to be found, except for the bit that shows up as the finish dries out. Low on the IBUs for an IPA, but makes up for it by a huge hop presence in the taste and nose. ilovedarkbeer (1343), Dallas, Texas, USA

I thought it looked good but a guy at the store told me it was not good. I enjoyed this one. Very piney nose. Tastes of pine and hops and malt. Not much else to say its really good. gam (1103), brisbane, Australia

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2008 I’m almost embarrassed to say that this bottled American beer was probably better than anything I had on cask at the Derby Winter Beer Festival. It’s similar to Goose Island IPA without being as complex, but still thoroughly enjoyable, full of citrus fruit and hop flavours. I’m confused about the ABV, which I’ve seen listed at different amounts.
