| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2004 Poured an orange color with a white head that left a thick lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma. Taste is dry and is of citrusy hops, not too aggressive and not much of a malt backbone. Not a tremendous IPA, but certainly drinkable. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2004 Light amber color with a thin, foamy head. Decent hop taste, but it disappears pretty quick. Not a whole lot of body too it compared to my favorite IPAs, and a bit of a bitter finish...but it’s a decent IPA. It’s like an introductory IPA for those who want to be hop heads. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Bang on target in the looks and smells department; rusty orange, dead clear, thin creamy head, and a big whafting layer of hoppy fruit aromas. Flavours are a bit one dimensional with very linear hoppy bitterness, perhaps a bit sharp and rough, but holds my interest nevertheless. A nice sliver of fruity hops drives a decent finish. $8 per bottle in Australia - I wonder what the street price is in the US? apost8n8 (123), Oklahoma, USA

Flavor is right on style for an IPA, but not extreme in any direction. The Marris Otter and Golding shine through and give it a very nice English character. Well balanced and very drinkable. Certainly better than I expected from Flying Dog. I only picked up a single to try and wish I had grabbed the six instead. johnyvt (157), West Hollywood, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2005 Transparent, unremarkable orange color, but a nice creamy white head. Smell is some spicy hops, but mostly pine. Taste is sweet and piney, not very flowery. Citrus taste, mostly oranges, and wheat in the finish. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
