Clear bronze with medium fluffy off-white head. Fruity and caramelly malts are accompanied by floral and herbal hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Very well balanced with a nice long bitterness. A bit weak for an IPA though. Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada

Nice floral fruity taste, medium malty mouthfeel giving way to a little lingering hoppy bite. It’s ok. paul9639 (116), New Hampshire, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2005 pours bright copper, with a white lacing head. Aroma is floral hops and citrus/fruit. In agreement with other raters, the flavor is decent, but a little muted by water. Drinkable, but with so many fantastic IPAs out there, I wouldn’t go out of my way for this one. px2grafx (14), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Aroma mostly flowery hops with some light caramel behind it. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, medium-bodied. Sloppy patches and rings of lacing. Flavor is fairly bitter with some caramel underneath. Finishes with some floweriness. Bitter lingering aftertaste. A little rough, but pretty good. Goodgrief (1152), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Pale yellow pour, nice head and immense lacing. Aroma yielded floral tones. Flavor was dominated by more citrusy flavors with floral undertones. Some sweet maltiness to balance. Not bad for what it is. Oh, and I should comment...good grief those labels are ugly. I could barely even stomach looking at the Snake Dog! HogTownHarry (4007), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Poured cloudy, bubbly light orange with a decent foamy off-white head - nice sticky lacing. Nice solid aroma of west coast citrus (and pine resin) hops and a nice fruity sweetish malt backing - simple but appealing. Flavour of moderately bitter grapefruit hops, some apricot malt, a longish bitter finish - the taste isn’t as sweet as the nose. Mouthfeel quite astringent, average IPA body, on the flat side. An acceptable if somewhat pedestrian US IPA.
