Goes down very easy. Did not wow me at all. I’d drink this again but it would not be on the top of my list raymondwave (882), Finland

Sweet and malty. Something candyish in there and smooth carb. It’s good, but is it kölsch? DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Tire Bite does not have much bite, more like a gummy gnaw.....actually was disappointed, expected much more out of this brew from Flying Dog. I had never tried a Kolsch golden ale, reminds me of Lowenbrasu with some Belgain style yeast. The yeast flavor comes right off the first sip, but then the beer turns into a mild, clean tasting brew. Oh don’t get me wrong, I think this is seriosuly easy drinking stuff and overall not bad, but not what I expected. It lacks depth. dlovell2 (146), Columbia, Maryland, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 15, 2007 bottle poured a light golden in color with light carbination and a thin layer of head on the beer. smell is dry champagne and malt both being on the light side. taste is thin on the body, has a slightly metallic flavor, but is just a little bland. guess it is a golden ale but not one i will seek out again. It really is a middle-of-the road, clean, slightly hoppy lager. Not bad, but not a kolsch in my experience (the best-before date was not marked on my bottle, so freshness may be a factor in this rating).
