thehinge (223), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Dec 1, 2007 Small white head...doesn’t appear to have much carbonation. Grassy aroma to it. I’ll admit it, I’ve had like one other Kolsch, so I don’t really know what to expect. I’m going to have to get my hands on some better examples, perhaps.
The malts are slightly sweet. Mildly bitter from finish to end. Something I could see making a session brew out of due to the fact that it has just about enough flavor to satisfy. But, nothing spectacular.
Caleb1035 (20), , North Carolina, USA Sep 6, 2008 Bottle pours to golden body, little head. Smess is sweet...Very little in the way of taste. Its smooth but leaves little lasting impression. Nothing special here. DrDavid (198), , Vermont, USA Sep 5, 2008 (Bottle). Sweetish aroma. Pale golden with average head. Flavor a medicinal lemon, reminds of cough drops. Not a pleasure. hop_lover (139), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Sep 5, 2008 Haven’t had many Kolschs at all realy so I don’t realy know what it should be like, but I know it was very unimpressive. Thomas_E (5030), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 5, 2008 Golden colour with a small white head. Malty, light sweet aroma with a vague hoppy note. Malty, sweet flavor with grassy notes. jmm635 (64), Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2008 Very well balanced beer. Nice aroma of malts and hops. Taste is mostly light malts and some caramel. Like most of the Flying Dog beers... good, but not great.
