mikeben (335), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jun 4, 2004 I am still amazed how few of you like a Belgian or German- golden ale. It is one of my favorites and this is a great example. It has a nice dry aftertaste. flowery nose and beautiful color. The taste is semi sweet and very refreshing. Did everyone else have a different beer?? raymow (736), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 29, 2003 A very good beer! Nice pour, good color (I prefer a darker color to beer but this is called "golden ale"). Great taste. A good example of "quality" beer. Nice job. labattblueleaf (225), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Mar 10, 2002 Very good. Out of the Flying Dog brewery, this was their best. It has a distinct American-type, mass-produced beer flavor with a little something extra. I recommend this and the other beers by this brewer. lb4lb (1453), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 11, 2007 Updated: Mar 30, 2008Lightish gold pour in a kolsch glass with about an inch of fluffy lasting white head. Aroma was of sweet malty, corn, and honey soaked grain. Taste is very crisp and refreshingly carbonated with a quick mild bitter bite up front followed by a delicious sweet creamy aftertaste. I love this beer, and this as about as good a kolsch as the others such as Lawnmower, that I really enjoy. Not a beer snob beer, probably, but a simple flavored refreshing beer, with a great thirst queching easy to drink feel to it. Sometimes you just want a nice crisp refreshing non light beer with a simple taste, and to me, this is one of those that I loved and look forward to more of. clvand0 (350), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Mar 2, 2003 I see that the majority of people don't prefer this beer, but I really liked it. The appearance was that of a normal American yellow beer and the smell was the same. The difference was that this beer had very little "bite" as most American beers do. This also meant that there was not much to the taste, but I rate it high because it was very easy to drink.
