| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Slick looking close to black, slick nice mouthfeel. Aroma is too ondimensional, lots of whiskey, some chocolate but I missed the lovely caramell toffe stuff going on in the regular Gonzo. Same goes for the flavour, very intense but one-dimensional. It’s good but too straightforward for my liking. leaparsons (4756), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jun 24, 2009 A healthy specimen delivering a rich hearty experience. A good head when poured with good aromatics. Medium nectar with excellent carbonation. Chocolate malts are prominent with a mild roast component. I do detect some whisky essence but not much. The finish is long and savory. I has a nice balance for such a big beer.
