Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange body with a medium-sized fizzy head. Yeasty fruit aroma consisting of some pears, oranges, cheese, and alcohol. Harsh and astringent carbonation can be found here with a fairly lively dusty fruit characteristic. Fairly light but it was a bit too lively for me...I could see myself being more welcoming to this if it were the summer.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with mds and tupalev, my bottle. Cloudy pale orange, huge fluffy off-white head. Dry, peppery aroma, light malt, tons of dry spice, sweet herbal hops, initial sour yeast dissipates very quickly. Pleasant spicy light sweet malt, hints of peach, no alcohol presence at all - light bodied, but pleasant, more of a warm-weather beer. Very carbonated (burp!), quick finish, a little sticky pungent spice aftertaste - not bad at all (needs more malt body, though)

My Bottom Line:
This gassy American Saison did sport some attractive floral spiciness alongside the fruity yeast profile, but its mineral, dry finale and lack of hoppy freshness made it a tiresome example halfway through the glass.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Expansive foam is absorbed by the hazy golden.
-The large, disparate bubbling made the whole product seem incoherent.
-Dust was imagined in the finish’s sweeping dryness.
- Not much complexity to speak of, which is disappointing for the style.

Bottle; no date.

Saw this huge bottle from Flying Dog and i just knew i shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to sample it. A firm and golden blonde ale. Small layer of fizz for a head. Typical yet weak aroma of yeast and light spicing. Flavor has a substantial amount of yeast for its personality but the spice is simply only a dash or two. High carbonation presence and a finish aftertaste that is very astringent.

750 ml Bottle from Country Club Liquors, Bakersfield. Nose of barnyard, citrus, and cloves. hazy light amber with a huge, long-lasting, ctream head; flavor has pepperiness, citrus, some light banana esters, and some light tartness leading into a tingly dry finish. Ithought it an excellent, uderrated saison with definate Belgian ale notes.
