Pours amber with a small dissipating white head. Smells of oranges, bananas, coriander, some grass, dough and pepper. Taste is of oranges, lots of malt, some tartmess and tangy malt. Mouthfeel is very tingly in a good way. Finish is dry and crisp.

750mL bottle courtesy of oldstylecubfan poured into a tulip. The first pour is a clear light golden with hints of orange underneath a huge fluffy white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving a bit of lacing and small swirl of foam on top. The second pour is considerably more hazy. The aroma is very sweet, almost like watery apple juice with lots of yeast as well. There is a faint hint of funk and I don’t get much in the way of spices. The taste follows the aroma with some light apple sweetness and yeast backbone. There is no funk or spices that I get in the taste. It’s a very basic saison taste. The mouthfeel is fairly light bodied with decent carbonation and slick in the finish. It’s not as dry as I expected either. This is a drinkable saison but not one that really brings anything different to the table. Fairly basic, slightly watery with very little spice or funk in the taste. Average saison.

Amber with an off white head. Aroma is a peach and apricot fruit, with yeast, faint caramel sweetness. Taste is a light yeast, some fruit and a mild hop content, dried apricots and light alcohol.

Bomber on New Years, thanks Dave! Really like this saison. It’s by car my favorite Flying Dog Beer yet. Nice sweetness and kind of peppery.

750 ml obtained at Party Source in Ky. Pours a bold golden with sparkling carbonation. Nice fruit, orange, honey and some tartness comes through immediately. Finish has a nice dry mouthfeel to it with just a hint of alcohol. A nice Flying Dog Belgian/Saison ale.

Bottle from Durhambeer, shared on New Years Eve. Pours a light gold with a big fluffy head. Lots of peppery spice and citrus in the nose. Taste is very light, slight orange with some peppery spice. Very good and a big hit at the tasting.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours a golden body with a lively carbonation and a big, diminishing, off-white head. Wonderful nose with some cellar, sugary sweetness, some spices and yeast and a delicious fruityness. Some cellar in the mouth too, with white sugar, orange peel, some alcohol and a fine fruityness to bind it all together. Full-bodied, effervescent mouthfeel, and a long, spiced, fruity and bitter finish. Really easy to drink, and very flavorful. Yummy. (081003)

Um, this didnt do it for me. Maybe it was in the fridge too long, but I was getting smells of cat urine. Seriously. I only bought this because it was on sale at Sams for like $4. I dont really like this brewery and Im neutral on the style, so it would have been an easy pass for me at normal price. To clarify, DID NOT light this cowboys fire.
