How: Bottle 750ml, from JCB, thanks a lot Jason. Consumed as soon as I received it but the bottle had a few years on it.
The look: Cloudy orange topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Nose is floral and perfumy. Taste expands of the perfumy aspect and gets to the point of being borderline cleaning product. Dry bread sensation makes for a crisp malt backbone dipped in garden flower petals juice. Some orange. The beer was rather iodized but that was probably due to the fact that it was a few years old. Somehow the iodization was fitting in and wasn’t a problem. All of the above are more problems that qualities but the beer had a very nice underlying true wild Saison yeast sensation. Way too flowers/perfumy for my taste but this is a Saison and with a true Saison I’m more forgiving than a priest with a conscience problem because of an altar boy. gunnfryd (3603), Kristiansand, Norway

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 7, 2008 750ml bottle courtesy of Headbanger. Aroma is a bright sour scent with hints of apple. Color is a hazy orange brown with good carbonating and a thin tight white head. Taste is sour and citric. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish comes in sour with orange and coriander flavors then a faint tartness on the end. In the after taste there is a mild sweetness. This is an amazing brew, it combines the flavors of a white with the sour feel of Flemish. Headbanger (1597), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Aroma of yeast, coriander, orange, and sweetness. Taste of the same with a little more citrus than most other saisons. This medium bodied brew has a dry finish with a tweak of alcohol. A nice tasting Saison. hombrepalo (779), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Poured a golden body with a good size head. Aroma is of yeast and spices. Medium bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation and a chalky finish. Short duration, moderate sweetness and acidity, light bitterness; nice herbal hop and straw, grassy malt and yeast flavor with trace citrus notes. Overall a nice tastey Saison.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours a very pale yellow with incredible head and carbonation. Nose is musty and damp. Flavor is that of funky, basement with some barnyard. Not that I mind that actually since in some red wines it is very welcomed. However, iIt is thin and slightly bitter, not a full bodied saison. The excessive carbonation became annoying. Definately not worth the $12 price, but I’m not sure at what price it would be worth it. ucusty (1908), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2008 750ml bottle on clearance @ Sam’s for 3.99- Some other raters have complained about excessive carbonation, but this bottle has basically none. A bit of a lactic acid/ lambic/ raspberry smell, some sweet malt cowering behind it and a vapor trail of earthy hops. Sweet malty taste up front yields to some boozy flavors, slight hop bitterness. This might have been good at one time, but I can see now why this was on clearance- really don’t want to finish this glass of flat unenjoyable brew. At least the bottle is high quality, will reuse it for homebrewing.
