thanks to bockyhorsey for bringing this along to the tasting. now he has to start over!... this pours more orange than yellow with a fluffy white head that eventually fades to a film. bocky nailed the descriptor in the aroma... really wet and grassy with some orange and a touch of bloomy white mold. the flavor is much the same with a salty note to it. the palate starts and finishes sweet. it never dries out or gets a little funky... just follows the sweet path and doesn’t develop any character. very airy carbonation gives this a soft fluffy mouth feel.

Clear golden-amber pour with a medium foamy white head. Nice orange and grassy aromas. Light flavors of citrus and spice. Grainy on the finish. Easy drinking and good.

Bottle courtesy of eaglefan538 that had been sitting in my fridge sine 3/07, so just goes to prove that some can have a beer in the house for over a year. Aroma of freashly cut hay field that just got rained on. Gold body with white head and good lacing. Flavor of yeast and peppery spices were more noticable with this one.. Easy on the palate thanks Brian for the brew.

Sampled after Boulevard Saison at Hellbilly’s Tasting. Boulevard with Aspartame. This beer also is Midas Touched in color with every other attribute dialed down a notch. More subtle in every respect. Above average beer, below average saison.

Sampled at the Hellbilly’s Hellraiser Phoenix tasting (4/13/08). Bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey. Sampled this right after the Boulevard Saison. This version of the style was much sweeter. Pours an almost clear golden color with a highly carbonated head. Nose is much more citrusy then the Blvd up front. Slight peppery spices, oranges and hay with a Belgian yeast background with a slight fruity finish like green apple. I liked the Boulevard slightly better.

Orange color which tastes like dry alcohol and oranges. Smells like burning oranges to me. Funky beer, but good!
