| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Bottle from Santa - slightly hazy, honey-colored beer, with a sparkling body and a well-sustained, fizzy head - aroma of orange peel, coriander, light peppery notes, very subtle funkiness, mild citrus acidity, and a background yeastiness - the carbonation is surprisingly soft - a bit thin in flavor, with a honey sweetness that sticks to the palate too much - mild peppery notes, along with flavors of herbs and dried flowers - alcohol warmth arrives late, along with an almost plastic, nearly chemical flavor, that detracts from the enjoyment even more - starts out alright, but just gets worse and worse. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2007 Bottle. Yellow body with a big white head. Acidic lemony aroma, funky. Sweet than aroma suggests, lemon, light musty notes. (6+) Average to thin palate. Pleasant but just okay. Aroma was promising, but it didn’t follow through. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 13, 2007 Sample provided by argo0. Lightly hazy pale body with a large amount of yeast sediment and a large fizzy white head. Spicy, estery nose with light banana, coriander and bread. The flavor is fairly dry with bread, coriander, light fruits and alcohol. Medium body is prickly from over-carbonation, finish is warm. bhensonb (4368), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Bottle from Monument, Concord, CA. It seems to leak a bit when horizontal. It was the last bottle in the case. However, the cork popped with great vigor. The aroma is primarily yeasty, but there are light fruit esters and mild spices. The color is a soft hazy orange with a white head that tried to lace. Fizzy carbonation and an arguably medium body. The flavor is alcohol, light bread, light stone fruits, and a hint of citrus, along with peppery spice notes. At the finish there seems to be citrus hop. A very dry finish. Leaves the mouth a bit astringified, but with more flavor (citrus, etc.) than is common. Must be a nice hop profile behind this. It’s really extremely tasty. The label says "Ale brewed with honey and curaco orange peel". Struggling to locate the honey, but there’s a lot going on here. sloth (1681), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Large white head, good retention and some thin lacing left behind. Hazy wit appearence. Nose is soft spices, lightly peppery and yeasty. Body is light with a big carbonation level. Light citrusy flavors, a touch doughy, peppery with a light mustiness and a hint of peaches. Finish is dry and spicey. Coulda been a contender! joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Convinced the pourer to bust this one open, and even though it was quite warm, I’m glad he did. Very musty farmhouse hops in the nose, some wheaty sweetness, kind of sour on the palate, well hidden alcohol, flowery bitterness in the finish. Tart and refreshing. Nicely complex on the tongue, very zesty and sprightly.
