Apr 5, 2007 This on surprised me, Poured a golden color with fluffy head. Aroma was grassy and peppery and the funk. Flavor was the same lots of funk and grassy hops. Very good. didn’t expect this one from flying dog.

Feb 19, 2008 Mar. 2007 - Beer pours pale yellow with decent head and lacing. Heavy grass and barnyard aroma. Very nice blend of barnyard funk, spices, and fruity sweet goodness. Surprisingly good!

Dec 31, 2008 Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours a golden body with a lively carbonation and a big, diminishing, off-white head. Wonderful nose with some cellar, sugary sweetness, some spices and yeast and a delicious fruityness. Some cellar in the mouth too, with white sugar, orange peel, some alcohol and a fine fruityness to bind it all together. Full-bodied, effervescent mouthfeel, and a long, spiced, fruity and bitter finish. Really easy to drink, and very flavorful. Yummy. (081003)

Mar 31, 2007 Pours a cloudy golden color, some amber hues in there, nice huge initial pillowy head. Lacing was a bit weak. The aroma was grassy hops first, some coriander-like spicing, some peppery notes. The flavor was funky, grassy, honey, apples, wheat, spicing (coriander and I guess caracao), pepper. This is one of the finer Flying Dog productions I’ve come across. Mouthfeel was malty for a saison, yet with a dry crispness to the finish.

Feb 21, 2007 Pours amber with a small dissipating white head. Smells of oranges, bananas, coriander, some grass, dough and pepper. Taste is of oranges, lots of malt, some tartmess and tangy malt. Mouthfeel is very tingly in a good way. Finish is dry and crisp.

Feb 4, 2007 pours a cloudy gold with lots of lacing under a large foamy white head. pleasant hoppy, yeasty, aroma. the head has excellent retention. flavor is grainy, yeasty with spices. tastes very belgian. nice job.

Feb 2, 2007 750 ml Bottle from Country Club Liquors, Bakersfield. Nose of barnyard, citrus, and cloves. hazy light amber with a huge, long-lasting, ctream head; flavor has pepperiness, citrus, some light banana esters, and some light tartness leading into a tingly dry finish. Ithought it an excellent, uderrated saison with definate Belgian ale notes.

Apr 11, 2007 bottle. beautiful golden hugh with touch of orange. rising bubbles to thick foamy white head. earthy, yeast, wheat and spice aroma. lively palate. mellow flavor but solid. wheat and grain. lemon, slight apricot and apple. small but always present sourness. lavender and herb. peppery finish. I was expecting less and was very happy with this. Very nice job.
