Bottle. Pours near black with a tan head. Roasted malt aroma with smoke and a bit of chocolate. The flavor has light roast and smoke, with hazelnut and dark chocolate. Very good.

I believe this was compliments of doboy, at his beer palace in Newport NC. Thanks Ed! Poured from 750 ml bottle a dark brown color with an average creamy cascading brown head that was mostly lasting and good lacing. Heavy roasted malt, smoke and woody aroma. Flavour was of tobacco, hickory smoke, chocolate, toasted nut and sticky wheat. Mouth feel was medium bodied. Over, an OK beer, not my fave style.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of roasted malts, light smoke, and light bamburg wood. Poured black in color with a small to medium-sized dense, brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Opaque. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of roasted malts, smoke, bamburg wood, slight chocolate, slight wood, slight tobacco, slight caramel, and a hint of tar. Medium body. Smooth, slightly chalky texture. Soft carbonation. Lightly sweet, caramel, smoke, and malt finish is a tad chalky.

Bottle: Poured a black color with not much head. The aroma was smoke and malts. The flavor was smoke, meat, malts, nuts and chocolate. Overall, I enjoyed this brew, probably the best smoked I’ve had so far. Very Good.

Pours black with tan head. Awesome smokey aroma. Not as much smoke flavor as the aroma, but still well done. For some reason smoked beer is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Not my favorite style. Was understated smoke in the nose, and malty, palate is nutty and very smoked. Thankfully this seems to be a bit aged or something to mellow it. No alc. presence. Appearance is very dark light head, minimal lacing.

Bottled
Pours black with a creamy head. Aroma is really smoked. Falvour is smoke, ash & chocolate. Hints of alcohol in the finish.
