Hazy brown pour with off white head and lace. Aroma is dried fruit and heavy malt. Brown sugar and a mild bitter finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Pretty special for me.

750ml Vintage Bottle from (2005)???. Caged & Corked with the old Colorado address on the label. The bottle was in the fridge at my parent’s basement. I had been saving it for a special occasion, for it being so pricey. Today is just a day.

Pours a deep copper color. Creamy light tan colored head. The beer seems to have some pretty decent legs to it. Aroma seems to be a bit soured. Fruity and deep malts. Hints of tart fruit like a raspberry. Lots of sticky malts. Lots of clove. A decent presence of toasted malt in the nose. Flavor has a slight tartness to it. Not what I was expecting. Quite a bit of cherry flavors and a nice roasted malt flavor as well. Distant chocolate malt, dark fruits, dates, and some more tartness as it warms. A bit of alcohol is present along with a fairly sticky / oily body. I am kinda surprised the bottle lasted as long as it has. As it warms, the malt backbone become much more pronounced. Not great, definitely impressive. <p/>

Hazy brown with a thick beige head. Sweet raspberry tart aroma. Taste is sweet with a hint of sourness. Well balanced with roast finish.

Pours a fading beige head with a copper-amber body. Smells of red, sour fruit, dark roast. Flavor is sour, lemon zest, cherry, bitter chocolate. Finish lingers.

Sampled at tronraner’s Xmas Eve^3 tasting (thanks lithy). Pours a purplish amber with no real head at all. Aroma of dark berries. Flavors of wheat and rum soaked fruits. Medium body with low carbonation. I love the art on the label.

Nice deep amber coloured body with tints of cola, rubies and even some coffee. Aroma of yeast, cherries, sour grapes, chocolate, roasted malt and even some smoke! Very complex - very nice to smell! Full-bodied; Nice strong flavour of roasted malt, figs, raisins, yeast, wheat, coffee and some light fruits. Aftertaste shows some fruit-like cherries and grapes, but mostly pit fruits. Strong malt and yeast along with bitter nuts following taste. Overall, a nice beer-albeit a year old and nice to drink! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 06-August-2006.
