bottle. Pours a hazy light yellow, minimal head that clears away pretty quick. Aromas of sugary sweetness, some sharp yeasty notes and some faint spices. Flavor starts with some light bitter citrus notes. The coriander and oranges used to brew both stand out strongly. Some grainy yeast notes in the background. Clean and clear on the palate with a nice crisp finish. An enjoyable summer seasonal.

Pour is a cloudy-hazy yellow with a average white head. Aroma is nice with some yeast and coriander. Flavor is decent as well with some citrus, yeast and a bit of banana. A decent attempt and quite tasty. You never know what to expect from this brewer, sometimes they are spot on and sometimes way off. This one is pretty spot on.

Bottled. Poured hazy paler golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up toasted bananas and dusty yeast with overtones of orange and coriander.. came across dry with a bit of extra sweetness. The flavor had banana and caramel sweetness at the core with white pepper, coriander, and orange zest on the edges.. more pepper right at the finish. Dry and spicy on the palate with higher carbonation.. OK feel to it. Solid for the style.

Pours hazy golden blonde. Nose is of spices and Belgian yeast. Aroma is a strong presence of spice (coriander) that dominates the rest, some citrus and yeast. Mouthfeel is somewhat dry/bitter. A good wit seasonal beer.

Bottle... Cloudy, light golden ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Excellent, tight retention. The nose offers yeasty, spicy and soapy notes. Medium-bodied and watery with lazy carbonation. Well-balanced, but bland. Breadsy and lightly spicy. Crisp, spicy finish.

Flying Dog has taken on a local persona as a tough guy. Non-conformists flock to their chaotic labels and dig the truant attitude so that even the teen wrapped in chains and leather is very likely to be a Flying Dog enthusiast. This is my own experience, that is, with fellow public transit commuters and park loiterers. I wondered how Flying Dog’s Woody Creek White would fare in this image. After all, white beers aren’t really "extreme" by any means. They don’t bring together the elements of deviation and manliness like, say, an IPA does. And so we begin. The loose, lightly frothed head crowns a cloudy light yellow body, almost airy in its paleness. The smell is, for a wit, comparatively wet, with copious lemon, popcorn butter, spring water and scents of the sea, or that of freshly caught seafood. It is powerful, but pleasant. The taste too is generous with the butter, lemon and wheat flavors and extremely slaking. So yeah, it’s extreme in some way. Its full flavored, spritzy, light, quenching with multiple dimensions of sweet and buttery after taste. There’s also a raw sugar sweetness which mixes well with the crowd. I’ll give it to them, if there’s a social need to cast out traditional wits (Blue Moon?) this is a great beer to do it with.

Intensely yellow and hazy with a fizzy white head. Aroma is clovey with wheaty and citrusy notes. Taste also contains clove and citrus, but it does little to make up for the intense sense of hydratiion that comes from drinking this product. Far too watery, and there are skunky notes in there too. $2/12oz
