| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 01-Oct-07 (12-oz bottle: Purchased 12-Sep-07 for $1.59 at the Pizza Port Bottle Shop in Carlsbad, CA) The beer is golden-yellow in color and fairly hazy, and is capped by a thin, white, fizzy head that rapidly subsides to a thin ring. Not a very impressive beer to look at. Coriander and lemon dominate the nose, though faint wheatiness emerges with a quick swirl of the glass. The flavor also shows a lot of coriander and citrusy, lemon peel bitterness, which tends to overwhelm the delicate wheaty base. However, while a bit more balance is desirable, the spices aren’t recklessly aggressive and the wheat isn’t bready. Appropriately, there isn’t even a hint of sweetness and the light-medium bodied beer is wonderfully dry and a bit dusty on the palate. Medium-strong carbonation and zesty spices make for an initially lively mouthfeel, but this trails off quickly for an uneventful though still refreshing finish. Overall, a clean, easy drinking Belgian-style white, and while not a remarkable example of the style, compared to many American-made wits which tend to be heavy or overspiced, this is above average. brettpace (179), Northridge, California, USA

Slightly hazy light golden color upon pouring. Nice yeasty aroma. A bit of spiciness. One of the yeastier wits that I’ve tried, which is a plus in my book. Pretty nice wit. Mildly spiced, but not as much as some. b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Pours a pale gold color with very thin white head. Aroma has coriander and orange peel abound with a bit of yeasty esters. Taste is rich with coriander, orange, and some yeasty spiciness. Carbonation is above average, right where it should be in this style. This was a pretty good witbier (hell, I like a Blue Moon every now and then) but it’s a bit too sweet to be well balanced.
