Looked completly flat. Aromas of fruitiness, apples, bananas, light wood, light brandy and yeast. Tastes of fruitiness, light wood, and yeasty. Body not as flat as the pour would have lead me to guess it would have been. I’ll give props to FF for trying this! DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Draft at Capone’s. Pours chill hazy golden with minimal head. Aroma is apricotty and apply fruit, some chardonnay-like notes, and mild spicy florals. The taste is fruity, rather dry, floral, with the profile reminding me of a watered down apple chandonnay. Unique for sure, but not something I’d drink a lot of. Rciesla (3830), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of toffee, apple, and light caramel. Taste was apple, light vanilla, cardboard, wood, and the good ol’ grand cru in the background. Not sure what the problem was here, seemed a bit thin, watery, and not much flavor at all. All in all, it kinda reminded me of a very weak cider. TomDecapolis (3209), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 27, 2008 On tap at Capones. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with no head. Aroma of apple cider, some Belgian yeast esters, vanilla and a touch of some woody notes. Flavor was much of the same. Really reminded me of a cider. Still some of the Grand Cru there. But the barrel aging really kind of did something odd. michael-pollack (2733), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Draught: Aroma of apples, vanilla, and herbal hops. Poured gold in color with a small, dense, white head that lasted throughout. Sparkling. Hazy. Light to medium sweet flavor. Tastes of apples, bourbon, and vanilla. Too much bourbon flavor. Medium body. Chalky texture. Average carbonation. Bourbon finish. I am so sick of bourbon aged beers. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Draft @ Capones. Orange color with no head. Aroma dominated by apples, sugar, brandy, wood and yeast. Flavor starts out a bit apply and woody, but is very thin and pretty blah. Seems to have some good parts, but its a mess. Their Grand Cru was not the beer to do this with. jason (1624), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
