mike67 (74), , New Jersey, USA Oct 30, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours hazy brownish color with a foamy medium lasting white head. Good amount of carbonation. Aroma is bready, Belgium yeast, floral spicy hops, some fruit and brown sugar. Medium body with some tartness. Flavor is caramalt, brown sugar and spicy hops. Finish is sweet, but not cloying, with some spicy hops balance. Simple, but tasty and inexpensive dubbel. Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2009 Variety Case from Brewers Outlet, Lancaster, PA...bottle poured dark brown with almost no head, kind of like flat soda...I’m actually suprised this Dubbel rated this high...aroma was kind of malty, hint of spice, but flavor wise, I thought it was quite disgusting...kind of like a cola-grape flavored cough syrup. I toughed out the 6 bottles in this case but I’ll never drink it again. BrewDad (2363), Olympia, Washington, USA Jul 30, 2009 2009 Oregon Brewers Festival – Portland, OR
