The malt is very sweet and could use more roasted malts to balance. Unfortunately it also comes with some off flavors. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2007 Aroma is vineous and belgian-yeasty with a brown sugary apple-ish berry background. Flavor is vineous with toasted malts and belgian yeastiness plus apple-like notes. Very pleasant but short lived mouthfeel. Good value @ 6.99/6pk. swoopjones (1900), Buffalo, New York, USA

Winey taste & aroma. Nothing really special here. Simply average JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2007 Reddish copper pour with a light rose colored head. Aroma is sweet with hints of various fruits - grape, apple, perhaps a cranberry in there? Taste has a fair bit of yeast mixed with some malty-fruit flavors that are rather pleasant. Nothing exceptional, but a solid overall brew from Flying Fish. morehops (39), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2007 It’s a decent Belgian style brew. Not too heavy either. It’s not too bad for a local (for me) beer vyvvy (2043), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2006 Pours copper with a dark beige head. The aroma has Belgium yeastiness, sharp dark fruits, light plasticness and some earthiness. Medium / thick body with lots of carbonation that starts off soft and end sharp. The taste starts sharp and earthy, yet there is a bit of a mustyness about it - kind of like a weird muddled fruitiness. The finish is dirty, earthy and woody. However, as it warms it gets much cleaner and begins tasting more like an authentic Belgium beer than most American micros trying to do the style. An intersting beer and probably the best I’ve had from the brewery. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Pours a semi clear dark reddish brown with a medium/large beige head. Nose is malty with fruity esters and some yeast. Some plums and strawberries. Taste is the same with some halzenut flavor as well. Medium body. High carbonation. Easy to drink. An above average brew.
