| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2006 Pours dark amber/brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Light fruity sweetness, a little spice, and nice upfront yeast aroma. Flavor is mostly light fruity sweetness, with a hint of spice, and noticeable yeast. Palate is medium, creamy, a little fruity, and some slight bitterness on the finish. Decent and enjoyable brew, but not that great for an abbey. Flavor is just a little too toned down. alexanderj (2263), Chino Hills, California, USA

Flavor of malt, spice, fruit and sugar. Smooth on the palate. Not my favorite dubbel by any means, but enjoyed it alot. Quite enjoyable and easy drinking. cbkschubert (1983), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 25, 2006 Dark red color with small head. Lots of carbonation. Good malt flavors and hops to balance it , yet it still has the traditional spicyness of a good dubbel. Full body and flavor with a smooth aftertaste. rdelljh (122), Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of dark fruit, bananas, and yeast. Flavor is sweet with notes of banana, clove, raisens. Yeasty and semi dry finish. Not too bad. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2006 Pour is slightly brown with no head...smell is lightly warm with some spices and lightly fruity...taste is overly sweet and sticky with some earthfruits, but more sweetness than anything...finish lost a lot of sweetness, which was a good thing and left a chewy yeasty aftertaste... footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Nose was a bit spicey with some bit of holiday spice but maybe Mulling spice?? Some ripe, very ripe bananas also but that spice is right there the whole time.
