Dark red color with small head. Lots of carbonation. Good malt flavors and hops to balance it , yet it still has the traditional spicyness of a good dubbel. Full body and flavor with a smooth aftertaste.

Jun 15, 2001 i am not an expert on the heavier, stronger belgian beers as i try to avoid the ones that taste more like wine than beer...but even though this one packs an alcohol content wallop, the flavor was rich and deep. i really like it. possibly a new favorite and i may even become more adventurous when it comes to trying these heftier styles of belgian beer in the future.
