Commercial Description:
This Belgian-style Abbey Dubbel is an exceptionally complex beer with many interwoven flavors. This classic-style Abbey beer features an immense head with a fruity nose and a generous body. Malty in the middle, the beer features a clean, almondy dry finish and a slight alcohol warmth. More like a wine than a beer—it has a lot of the qualities of a fine Burgundy. The beer is bottle-conditioned.

Dark red color with small head. Lots of carbonation. Good malt flavors and hops to balance it , yet it still has the traditional spicyness of a good dubbel. Full body and flavor with a smooth aftertaste.

i am not an expert on the heavier, stronger belgian beers as i try to avoid the ones that taste more like wine than beer...but even though this one packs an alcohol content wallop, the flavor was rich and deep. i really like it. possibly a new favorite and i may even become more adventurous when it comes to trying these heftier styles of belgian beer in the future.

Dark red to brown color, sweet aroma, and a strong somewhat sweet flavor. A very tasty beer.
