Bottle sampled with Mad Indian and D.B. pours cloudy orange/amber with not much of a head. Aroma of caramel, hops, and citrus. The flavor is a full body caramel maltiness, and some bitter hops in the finish. Great brew.

Sampled at Monks cafe with Dennis Bell and Stegosaurus. WOW ! Orange/amber pour with hoopy pine aroma. Full body with the hops and alcohol perfectly blended. A real Gem.

750ml bottle from adrian910ss - Thanks! - Pours cpper with a short offwhite head that stayed for a little while. Aromas of big grapefruit and pine with a few floral notes as well. Behind that are faint caramel malts. Flavor is some good caramel malts upfront but there is a pretty big hop presence in this one.. Toffee can be found there as well as grapefruit and pine. Good balance and smooth.. Bitter finish.. Nice beer

Bottle thanks to OhioDad for sharing: Reddish brown pour with a white head. Aroma, caramel and some other sweet malts, citrus and floral hops. Flavor, caramel, and malty up front with a citrusy bitter finish. Pretty good barley wine.

750 ml bottle. Pours an amber color with a medium white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of orange peel, apricots, caramel and malt hops. Taste is pleasantly citrusy, primarily tangerine, with grainy malt overtones. Leaves a nice bitter piney aftertaste. Enjoyable.

Beautiful amber color. Excellent malt aroma, with fruity and resinous hops. Malty and hoppy taste, resinous and fruity. May I say balanced for my taste? Anyway, it’s well brewed. Excellent.

Draft... GABF ’06... Hazy, light amber ale with a small, frothy, off-white head. Excellent retention. Toffee esters, caramel malt, light diacetyl and earthy, herbal hops in the nose. Bittersweet, fruity flavor; malty and lightly tangy. Hopped generously. Full-bodied and a little oily with modest carbonation. Lengthy, tangy, bitter finish.

An amber appearance. A caramel, coriander, and orange aroma. The flavor contains some oranges, caramel, pears, and nutmeg. The finish is somewhat alcoholic and sweet. Overall it was good.
