Commercial Description:
This ESB is a classic British extra special bitter made fresh with an American slant. A beautiful copper color with an amber head, classic style features six different malts, including imported Belgian malts, and three hop varieties. The rich malty start features caramel notes that develop into a smooth, pleasurable hop finish.

bottle-thanks to vyvvy for this one. light copper with a spritzy off-white head. diacytl mostly on the nose with some light toasted malts. not as much diayctl as that hop hog ipa, but there is quite a bit here. toasted grains and earthy hops on the flavors. as it warmed, some light spices came out and the diacytl diminshed. palate is fizzy and over-carbonated. i will pass next time on this one.

Floral and citrus hops are a pleasant counterpoint to the doughy, bready and caramel malts in the aroma. Lightly hazy amber body is topped by a decent white head that persists nicely. Caramel and toffee malt flavour with floral hop accents and light bitterness to take the edge off. Medium body with decent carbonation. Sampled at Mondial 2006.

Aroma is sweet, sour, malty, and earthy, with some floral, woody hops. Flavor balanced nicely with the hops and malt with some noteable fruity overtones coming out-hop bitterness is accompanied by some almost apple ciderish sweet malt combo with earthy bitter hops. mouthfeel is full. very enjoyable.

Draft At Tattersall Golf Club. Pours a nice clear amber almost copper. Has a good lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is good with nice hints of citrus. Has a nice medium body. A good mouthfeel. A bit of hops but not overpowering. A very easy drinking beer with a decent finish.

Bottle - from sampler pack. OK. Very little aroma and not very flavorful. Not bad, but I’ve had better.

Bottled. Reddish Brown in color, with a creamy head. Smells slightly skunky/citrusy. Nice from start to finish, really love this ESB, especially over the overly hoppy Redhook ESB. I’m drinkin these for awhile, they’re good.
