Aromas are biscuity, light grassiness, fresh bread; flavors incorporate these plus a big dose of caramel. Decent beer that doesn’t get boring, yet not too thrilling either. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2004 This is a good esb - smooth creamy body full of caramel biscuity malts, herba/fruity aromas, good assertive hop edges and finish. Another solid beer from Flying Fish. SDbruboy (1833), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2004 Bottle - thanks to slob. Pours clear copper with a creamy light tan head that lingers well and leaves nice lacing. Malty aroma, slightly fruity with light floral hoppiness. Bold malty flavor has nice tart notes and a brisk hop finish. Medium body, gentle carbonation. This could be a good session ale. hopdog (5627), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2004 Poured a medium golden color with a small white head. Aromas and tastes of some malts and orange citrus. Smooth body. Drinkable (but nothing that really stands out). Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2004 A little on the light side, some malt giving way to slight bitterness. This is not bad as a beer, but its only fair as an ESB
