Commercial Description:
This ESB is a classic British extra special bitter made fresh with an American slant. A beautiful copper color with an amber head, classic style features six different malts, including imported Belgian malts, and three hop varieties. The rich malty start features caramel notes that develop into a smooth, pleasurable hop finish.

Tea like aroma and color. Sweet and malty full flavor. Could be more crisp.

Bitter is a good definition of this beer's style. A pleasant, though not great brew with some hop definition. Unlike an IPA, this has enough malt to make things interesting.

Another solid effort. Not specctacular but consistently good. Let it sit for a few minutes before drinking. Love the mixed malty notes.

This one pours a clear amber color with a small, diminishing white head. The aroma is malty with a touch of grain and light citrus notes from the hops. It has a light to medium body with moderate carbonation. The flavor is sweetly malty up front with caramel notes and a short, lightly hoppy finish. Good ESB.

Not as good as Fullers ESB, or some others, but all in all not a bad ESB. Nice color and good hops.

This reminded me of a Hefewiezen. Pretty good stuff. Nice color and flavor.

Best by August 1x, 2002 (July 20, 2002 tasting notes): thin malt and noticeable bitter unaromatic hops.
