Bottle at BCTC. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Light hoppy citrusnotes. Thin to medium body and light malt. Finishes with a light dry bitterness. Not bad, but not memorable in the least.

Hoppy nose- bright zesty with a biscuit background and a light peppery grassy noble hop presence. Light body with a very grassy flavor. Some pale malt background and an astringency of vegetal pine character. Not really Belgian feeling. Eh. MullMan (1086), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Mostly clear bright golden body, medium tall sudsy creamy white head. aroma is fresh grapefruit rind, hoppy for a tripel. also a lkittle sweaty/pissy/yeasty. maybe a little dried tropical fruit in the aroma too. flavor starts caramel malty sweet, a little spicy like white pepper, dried pineapple chunks and grapefruit sections with rind. some earthy yeast and then very dry/astringent hop bitterness. a little boozy/herbal/ginny in the aftertaste. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 29, 2009 Bottle from Craft. Pours hazy gold with white head. Nose is floral spices, hopcitrus, rock sugary malt, some fruit. Tastes hopcitric, on the dry side, with spice, hops, some floral and fruit notes, solid malt bill, and a lively carbonation with good complexity. broozer81 (67), , New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 22, 2009 bottle-golden pour to a head that was gone before I put the bottle down..nice fuity citrus aroma..taste of the same very acidic, fruits, yeast, little hops and nicely balanced malt flavors..heavy carbanation and dry swallow..good sipper beer for certain occasions but just not my favorite style.. drtth (7), USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 13, 2009 The initial taste is that of spicy citrus hop bitterness followed by some caramel malt sweetness and some almost hidden banana/clove mixture, but it is the spiciness of the hops that dominates here, for now. However as I finish more and more of this bottle the orange becomes a more pronounced flavor. vtafro (477), , New Jersey, USA
