| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2005 Pours a dark gold with thin white head. Has a hoppy sweet nose with maybe a berry scent. Taste is hoppy, floral and has a nice sting to it. Goes down nicely and was delightful with lunch. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 23, 2005 Draught at Citizens Bank Park during a Phillies game. Pale golden body with substantial carbonation. Buttery diacetyl takes the lead in the aroma and flavor with some pale malty backing, a corny element, and some mild woodsy hops. Slick palate. Fairly basic. I paid $6.75 for a pint of this, but I was happy not to be drinking BMC.

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 14, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with jasonp, thanks Jason!) Didn’t like this beer years ago, and I still don’t care for it. Pretty thin on flavor in general. Lightly sweet malt body, but I’m not really comfortable using the word "malt" in describing this beer because it doesn’t seem the least bit malty. Very gentle hops contributes a faint bitterness, but again, not much there either. A mild sourness seems to hang over this beer. The finish is extremely light and short-lived, showing an unexpected, but again, light spiciness that for some reason reminds me of a witbier. Maybe it vaguely tastes like coriander to me? Really, there’s just not much flavor here at all, and I’m struggling to identify any solid flavors. Body is as light as any pale ale I can remember, and the finish is very thin and water. The aroma is somewhat grainy and is about the most clearly identifiable aspect I can detect with my tongue or nose. Dark straw color, somewhat hazy, and topped by a short-lived white head that fails to leave any lace on the glass. I simply cannot make any positive statements about this beer. There’s nothing noteworthy here. Probably targeted for the BMC market, as it’s not much better than those beers. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
