Commercial Description:
An original American pale ale, our XPA highlights the subtle, sophisticated flavors and aromas of our Midwestern two-row malt and imported aromatic and Munich malts. Washington-grown Mt. Hood and Fuggles hops create an extremely balanced beer with a beautiful straw color.

This beer is advertised as "balanced" and it seems accurate. It is a nice balance of sweet, fruit and bitter. All of this makes for a very nice drinking beer. Smooth and crisp. Think it is time for another!

Fruity aroma. Light yellow in color. Mildly bitter taste. Not my favorite from Flying Fish, but enjoyable.

Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and fruity. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are sweet and fruity. Dry hopped and grapefruity. Very nice. Well balanced. Sweet and fruity with a nice bitter middle. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This beer poured really well and kept it's head. Love the malt hop balance. Very tasty indeed.

Nice colour to the beer of a golden colour with very slight orange highlights. A nice head of off-white colour which fades fast. The smell is somewhat hoppy and somewhat sweet. The taste is very sweet with a slight amount of hoppiness. The malt and hops are balanced well in this beer...it is fairly easy to drink. The sweetness is large and noticable, especially in the aftertaste, when the hops usually take the cue. An all around good APA beer which you should try if available.

Big cream colored fluffy head. Fresh yeasty, malty aroma. Cloudy pale yellow in color. Smooth and crips with a slightly more full body than expected.

It has a clear, light copper color with a thin, white head. It has a nice, hoppy, fruity aroma. Flavor is crisp and hoppy up front. The finish is malty and slightly sweet with no bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and smooth with moderate carbonation. Not quite as hoppy or refreshing as some of its American counterparts, but still quite nice and drinkable.

Thin, but had a lasting head with a good lace, sweet fruity hops aroma. Good smooth hops flavor. For some reason I got the taste of Iced Tea. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but I like Iced Tea so I'll say good. Seemed slightly under-hopped.
